| Introduction | My name is Alyssa Seidel from St. Thomas, Missouri. In May of 2022, I graduated summa cum laude from Lindenwood University with a Bachelors of Art in Art and Design with an emphasis in graphic design. Originally, I had planned to be a graphic designer after graduation. After working as a substitute teacher and summer school paraprofessional, I discovered a passion for teaching. During my last year of college, I was asked by St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Elementary School to teach art. I accepted the job and got right into researching what was required to become a certified art teacher. I continue to work at St. Thomas the Apostle Elementary School as art teacher for grades 3 through 8 and director of the extended day care program. I also continue to work as a substitute teacher and summer school paraprofessional for the Blair Oaks R-II school district. On top of all of that, I am working through the Masters of Art in Teaching (MAT) program at Missouri State University. |
