| Introduction | Brian Carney, Esq. was a prosecutor for eleven years in the District Attorney’s Office in Boston. In 1998, he founded the first multimedia department in the Suffolk County DA’s Office. In 2001, Brian launched WIN Interactive, Inc. a litigation consulting firm. WIN Interactive, Inc is dedicated to helping prosecutors and civil trial lawyers win cases by becoming better storytellers through visual communication. In 2002, WIN Interactive, Inc. helped Connecticut prosecutors convict Michael Skakel for the murder of Martha Moxley -- in a case that had gone unsolved for 27 years. The Supreme Court of Connecticut recently upheld Skakel’s conviction and specifically approved of the use of our multimedia presentation in the closing argument— finding that the prosecution had not used (as the defense claimed) subliminal messaging. Mr. Carney is a nationally recognized speaker and the author of “Visual Persuasion in the Michael Skakel Trial” Criminal Justice, April 2004 (with Neal Feigenson) [http://www.wininteractive.com/skakel.zip] and “Visual Communication; Preparing for the Courtroom of the Future,” The Prosecutor, July/Aug. 2001 [http://www.wininteractive.com/future.zip] |
