| Introduction | My life and career has revolved around close encounters of the "natural" kind, or providing the same opportunities for others. My passion is birding, wildlife and wild places. I have spent more than 30 years in and around natural resources management, nature and environmental education, and advocating for the conservation and/or preservation of natural places. There is no substitute for being "out there", experiencing nature. Birding is my engine to engage nature and the inspiration to share with others. Life-long experiences have taught me that many special places are truely "in the middle of nowhere". |
