Introduction	Born and raised among the saguaros of the southwest; I'm a desert child at heart- no doubt about it! That being said, people raised in the desert tend to be wanders and I'm no exception: Schooled in Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Guatemala Worked in Australia, Italy, Pennsylvania Travelled in Australia, New Zealand, Italy, England, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and the British Virgin Islands. I'm passionate about civic engagement and education and I think its important to focus on removing those barriers to education that hinder a child's growth. For me,right now,that means pushing for more comprehensive vision screenings because a child's academics, athletic performance, psychosocial development, and life-long economic potential can all be negatively affected by vision disorders.
