| Introduction | I grew up in a small Yorkshire mill town where the sun rarely shines. I came to Wellington via Oxford University and have been a committed New Zealander ever since. I have worked across the private sector, local and central government and the NGO sector as well as academia. I've led futuring in a range of organisations and sectors, including the development of future oriented goals for systems and sectors and establishing learning networks of futures practitioners. Most recently, as Chief Advisor at Secondary Futures (an OECD Future of Schooling project) I worked with the education sector to identify the systems changes needed to deliver 21st century education. I enjoy hard, theoretical thinking and translating that thinking into practical tools and processes that help people think about the future today and then act on it. |
