Introduction	On January 23rd 2011 - March, 2013 I will be serving in the Peace Corps as a HIV/AIDS Outreach Worker. My host country will be the Republic of South Africa where I will live in a community/village with a host family. My focus will primarily include orphans and young women. Volunteers duties can range from specialized homebased care, clinics or in-school organizations. Historically, Volunteer have been able to link physical and psycho-social support services to orphans, vulnerable children and people living with HIV/AIDS. Common initiatives for volunteers include campaigns against gender based violence, safeguarding children's rights, and promoting income-generation.
