| Introduction | I didn't always love sports. I grew up betting a quarter with my mom on NFL games. I would literally sit and watch them all day Sunday because I wanted to win so bad, but I didn't know anything. I just wanted that shiny quarter! I was a tentative, non-aggressive baseball player growing up. I played pee-wee and little league baseball for 9 years, but I was disinterested in becoming a really good player. It wasn't until later when I started playing basketball in college, that I really got bit by the sports bug. I would play basketball day and night. And if I wasn't playing, I was watching ESPN or whatever games were on TV. That's where the Red Sox found me and I have never looked back. I bleed Red Sox and I always will. |
