Which is more important to you and why: flexibility or expandability?

In rubber-banding these are equally important as well as synonymous. Fat people would say that flexibility is overrated. Whereas, skinny people would say that expandability is unnecessary. Personally my answer would depend on the context: if I was suddenly a superhero, I'd demand both. If my life depended on consuming a bulk food case of HoHos... I'd rather have expandability. Maybe.
