| Introduction | Thanks for stopping by! I'm Lauren and I'm a professional writer, a graduate student, an intern, and a hardcore food lover. I started this blog to fulfill a requirement for my MFA, but it has turned into much more than that. My parents were married in the 70's and at the time my Mother had no experience with cooking. Needless to say, she resorted to newspaper clippings for recipes. She still has the original copies of each recipe in an old shoe box. I've often looked through the shoe box and wondered how in the world she would have picked/cooked some of these recipes! I decided it was time to give them a try. Some recipes are confusing to read let alone cook! There have been some absolutely horrible outcomes, but I rate every recipe I try on a yummy scale so you can be sure to follow that if you're considering making the recipe yourself.
