Introduction I am a grief counselor and the Director of Bereavement for the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice and the Joseph T. Quinlan Bereavement Center. My credentials are a masters in applied clinical psychology, a licensed professional counselor in the state of New Jersey and am a certified thanatologist. I like to speak on the many different topics in grief and have spoken at the New Jersey Hospice and Palliative Care Conference for the past three years. One of my favorite projects was to conduct a Healing in the Classroom workshop for the Sussex County school systems. I'm hoping one day to be able to convince our college to have a dying, death and bereavement course.
Interests Working with grieving children and pet loss.
Favorite Movies My most recent movie that I think is filled with many lessons on dying and bereavement is "P.S. I Love You."
Favorite Music I love "Live Like You Were Dying" by Tim McGraw.
Favorite Books The Year of Magical Thinking, by Joan Didion; Good Grief by Lolly Winston; The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch.
