| Introduction | Hello! I'm Seth Luster. My political ideology, according to the Pew quiz, was “solid liberal.” I can’t think of any specific political influences I have, though I do generally read the opinion section of The New York Times and get some political opinions from there. I especially like the political columns of Frank Bruni. I’ve only recently begun to get interested in politics, so the only political activity I’ve ever taken part in was voting in the 2018 midterm elections. I’m taking this class to expand my knowledge of politics and government. Seeing as I desire to become a political or investigative reporter, a knowledge of how government works is essential. Yet, I am a person who loves to learn new things, so any fresh knowledge on most topics is fun and interesting for me. For instance, even if it may not help my future career, I would hope to learn about the differing political ideologies, systems, and history; some major Supreme Court cases and their influence; and possibly some government history. On the civic literacy test, I scored an 80, missing two questions. On the current events quiz, I got all the questions correct which gave me a 100-point score. |

You have to dig a hole to China. Where do you start?
I would "make a hole with a gun perpendicular to the name of this town in a desk-top globe."
