| Introduction | Professionally over the years I've worked as an engineering tech, a marine electrician, a reactor operator on a nuc sub, a diver, an RF tech in a commercial television station, a software engineer, a field engineer for an X-Ray company, a Bio Med Engineer in a large metropolitan hospital, and in one capacity, I routinely made dives on a research submarine up to 8000 feet deep in the ocean. I've built robots, I've built computers, I've rebuilt numerous cars of various kinds, I even built a wooden fence once. My carpentry skills will not win awards, but they are adequate for a certain level of durability if nothing else. I managed to survive the Vietnam war not through my own skill, alacrity or forethought, but just through dumb luck and being in the right place at the right time. And the fact that God does watch out for fools and children. I have been both of those. I aspire to be a writer. I feel I have one or two good stories in me, and that God willing and the creek don't rise, I will be able to put those down before my time here is done. This blog is my opening foray into the wilds of creative(?) writing. |
