|Introduction||My name is Morvarid Mehdizadeh, a senior at Pinole Valley High School, and a proud member of the Ivy League Connection. I will graduate in 2013, and I am extremely excited for the new challenges and experiences that await me in college. I am an Iranian-American, and the first generation of my family to be raised in the United States. I'm highly determined to achieve the goals I have set out for myself and I am confident that my dedication and passion will allow me to accomplish these goals knowing that whenever I set my mind out to something, I'm always guaranteed to fully devote my all into it. I constantly strive to challenge myself and welcome challenges with open arms as well as enthusiasm. Failure never stops me from anything, but instead motivates me to do better. Every failure ignites the energy for me to come back and try harder. I have learned to always do my very best regardless of my situation; having my passion for learning show through in all aspects of my work. I care tremendously when it comes to my education, and always strive for excellence. A few adjectives I would confidently abide by are hardworking, creative, curious, diligent, optimistic, and open-minded.|

When you hesitate before hitting snooze on your alarm clock, are you being lazy?
Aside from a lot of outside volunteering, I am an active member/officer in clubs such as Forensics Speech and Debate, Junior Statesmen of America, National Honor Society, Interact Community Service, California Scholarship Federation, and I will also soon start a new UNICEF chapter at school. Before I graduate, I am determined to give back to my community in all ways possible.
