| Introduction | Wayne Strandlund is Fisgard’s founder and CEO managing cash and registered savings and pension funds including the RRSP, TFSA and RESP. An honors graduate of the University of Victoria he has spent his career since 1967 in real estate, financing and mortgage investment. He has been a receiver and trustee, the founder of a publicly-traded real estate developer, a past president of the Victoria Real Estate board and the BC Real Estate Association. For several years he lectured at the Canadian College for Chinese Studies on the subject of Canadian Securities. Wayne is a former governor of the Notary Foundation of BC and a former member of the BC Real Estate Council. He is a past chairman of the Victoria Conservatory of Music and a former director of the Victoria Symphony Society. He is a member of Fisgard’s Dividend Conference, a regular meeting of mortgage investment managers where decisions are made regarding Fisgard’s mortgage portfolio and dividends for quarterly distribution to investors. Wayne is a governor of Royal Roads University where he chairs the Governance Committee and attends the Finance & Audit Committee as well as the Program & Research Council. |
