| Introduction | I started my first blog when I was thirteen and it consisted mostly of my Harry Potter and boy obsessions. Now I hope that I've grown up just enough that my thoughts and views may be of interest to any who may have a moment to read or hear them. I try to be anchored by passion and reason so that my mind and heart can have equal influence on what I do in my life. I feel as though my life is defined by my belief in my God and my Savior and what I need to do for my fellow man. And I do NOT think it naive that I am so religious and so young as any religion requires a lifetime dedication so if I have found what I know to be right I might as well get started now. I hate that I am underestimated and thought to be stupid because of my size and age so I've made many attempts to try to be more serious but I love to laugh and smile too much to really care about what people think of me. I love life and seek to find its beauty in all I do, but I also acknowledge its darkness and pain. To this day you can ask me anything about Harry Potter and I'll know the answer. And my favorite color has been yellow as long as I can remember. |
| Interests | Reading every spare moment I have, writing and attempting to get my thoughts out into the world, playing the piano, dancing, feeling, singing, getting to understand myself and this beautiful world around me. |
| Favorite movies | Phantom of the Opera, The Notebook, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, He's Just Not That Into You, and essentially any decent chick flick or thought provoking tear jerker and the occasional action/man music. |
| Favorite music | All American rejects,The click five, Third Eye Blind, Michael Bubl'e, Frank Sinatra, Owl City,Louis Armstrong, Josh Turner etc. I like pretty much anything, but especially classic big band music, music with meaningful lyrics and punk rock. |
| Favorite books | Harry Potter, Crime and Punishment, Nervous Conditions, Heart of Darkness, Great Expectations, Tale of Two Cities, A Christmas Carol, Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, Jane Eyre, Frankenstein, Life As We Knew It, The Hunger Games and...I'm a classics kind of girl. And if anything has a deep, thought provoking theme that can get me thinking and change my view of the world, I'll read it, tragic or not. And I love Shakespeare. I re-read his works on a regular basis. |
