| Introduction | I am on a 2 year placement via VSO Jitolee and am working for Ithiru Youth Polytechnic near Kandara, Central Province Kenya. The Polytechnic provides vocational training to young people between 15 & 25 to enable them to achieve a sustainable livelihood in the future. Courses include Carpentry and Joinery, Masonry, Metalwork, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Tailoring and Dressmaking, Hairdressing, Electrical Engineering. We currently cater for 50 trainees but are looking to grow the intake to 100. |
