| Introduction | In my mid-forties verse began to suddenly come to me in almost perfectly metered rhyme, and not being one to look a gift horse in the mouth I encouraged this "Rhyming Muse" and gave her free reign. I love the challenge entailed in writing within a strict format. While I've chosen what some may see as a "simplistic" form of poetic expression, I write about anything and everything, not shying away from complicated ideas or difficult topics. I welcome feedback and suggestions for topics to cover in future posts. Whatever your response to my poetry, I'll keep writing my rhymes - they exercise my flabby brain and give me an outlet for creative expression - something all of us need to stay sane! |
| Interests | I love to read and to write, both poetry and prose. I love to bake. I walk a lot - it gives me uninterrupted thinking time. I am strangely addicted to house plan books, real estate listings and all things related to houses and old buildings. I revel in interesting conversation. |

| Favorite books | The Blue Castle (L.M. Montgomery's one attempt at a more adult story), Pride and Prejudice (everything by Jane Austen), anything by Canadian author Susanna Kearsley or anything by P.G. Wodehouse - for starters. (I'm a library visitor as opposed to a book-buyer, thus most of the books I've loved have titles that now elude me.) |
