| Introduction | I am a pharmacist and full time faculty member at a College of Pharmacy in the United States. I have a BA in Biology, BS Pharm and the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD). I teach classroom courses to Doctor of Pharmacy students. (More on that in future postings) I work part-time in a community health center. I usually don't work behind the counter handing out medications. Instead, I work in an office setting, meeting with patients one-on-one. In this setting, patients have a chance to ask questions. No day in clinic is the same. Sometimes I'll teach someone how to use a blood glucose meter. Then, I'll check a patient's records so that their new medicine will not cause a drug interaction with their other medicines. I usually work with adults, but I can also help kids. For example, I might be asked by a doctor to explain to a teen why one of their asthma medicines has to be taken every day. I work closely with doctors, nurses and other health professionals. (More on this later). I hope that you will find this blog interesting and informative. Thanks for stopping by. |

The first time you had your shoes taken off - how surprised were you to see that you still had toes?
I really don't know.....I think that happened a LONG LONG time ago !
