Introduction | Being a middle aged woman in this day and age means that I have seen and experienced a world of change. Society has done a complete circle from the values, institutions and morals that I have engrained in my soul. I still have one foot in the 60's with my album of blurry black and white photos and the thrill and excitement of watching men land on the moon. I emerged from the 70's with the idea that perhaps women should be able to go to work and do what they want without the "guidance" of a man. With that idea firmly embedded in my mind, I stumbled drunkenly and lewdly through the entire decade of the 80's and finally blossomed in the 90's with marriage and the raising of two sons (the event by the way, I SWORE in the 70's would never happen to me). You see me now in the new millenium looking back at a half century of living and experiences that I wouldn't trade for anything! And who would have ever thought, way back then, that this blog would have been possible, never mind a reality?! |
Interests | I am an author/publisher at heart with many "books" under my belt. I've reasearched many branches of my family history and produced books for immediate family. I have made several cookbooks including one used for a school fundraiser. I am an avid reader and prefer the solitude of country living, if my neighbors would just see it my way. They are giving me a Maxine-like attitude towards the world in general. |
