| Introduction | This grand social experiment will follow our successes and failures while living in and remodeling my Brother-in-laws new purchased home. We will attempt to restore this home to it's rightful glory armed only with some limited knowledge of home maintenance/repair, a little bit of prior experience, and a whole lot of Googling. We'll record purchases, where we obtained the materials used, prices, and if I'm feeling ambitious...some rundown on retail prices and what not. Pictures of the projects will be taken and posted before and after, and a brief description of how we accomplished them will accompany them from time to time. We will perform all of this on a shoe string budget, relying on diligent price research, user reviews of tools and materials, and the help of several friends and use of their tools as needed. Join us as we will post several times a week as we discover the hell that we surely got ourselves into. |
