| Introduction | I am Alisha and my pronouns are she, her. I'm an ordained clergy who serves part-time as a clinical chaplain. I am a mom to two elementary-school kids, one dog, and married to one man. I'm in my mid-late 40s and have moved all over the midwest but now am down south in Houston. I'm writing about the things in my life I"m letting go of. I had bariatric surgery this year and I'm losing some of my weight, I lost my mind frequently, and every day it is my goal to surrender my deep controlling desires to the Holy. Personally, I'm probably a left-wing extremist, definitely a gun-sense advocate, an LBGTQA ally, a lover of all things precise and intentional. I'm not the best at being a perfect daughter, sister, wife, mother, employee, neighbor, or friend but I work hard at it all. |
