| Introduction | I was grew up in Woodbury, MN, a suburb of St. Paul. I graduated from Saint Thomas Academy, an all-male, private, Catholic, military academy. From there I went to Macalester College, which was totally different from my high school to say the least. During my last year at Mac I started my MPH in Epidemiology at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. From there I went to medical school at the University of Minnesota. I'm married to my high school sweetheart, Leah. We don't have kids, but are thinking about it. I wanted to do IM since I started medical school, and after being tempted away by anesthesiology, I came back to IM. I rotated at the Mayo Clinic in September and fell in love with the place. Pictured above is my wife and I on Match Day with one of the best letters I've ever gotten. |
