| Introduction | I think about food constantly. Dream about it. Obsess over it. Fortunately for me, my obsession doesn't stop at fresh baked pies, rich chocolate amaretto truffles, fried cheese empanadas, and a childhood favorite, Rice Krispie treats. My obsession extends to tomatoes fresh off the vine, blueberries and peaches from the farm stand down the road, and green beans picked that morning. I rarely feel more excitement than that day each summer when I first spot fresh garlic at the Farmer's Market. One of these days I'm likely to just break off a clove and eat it right there on the dock rather than waiting out the 4 mile drive home where I typically make and devour enough bruschetta to feed a party of ten. |
