I have been taking photos since 1991, shooting first with 35mm and APS films, and now digital. In the late 1990's, I started digitally manipulating pictures and designing computer art as a hobby. Today, I restore and retouch photographs for my day job and shoot on the side. Working at a camera store provides me with vast knowledge of the photographic process. I routinely digitally image all types of vintage film, as well as perform photofinishing procedures in both the photo lab and darkroom. My degree is in Multimedia, and I am currently finishing a Certificate of Digital Photography, but I have also studied English/Writing, Computer Information Systems, and Psychology. I like to take pictures of everything -- I don't think I have ever come across a subject I absolutely did not like or would refuse to ever shoot again. I will find a photograph to snap anywhere of anything at anytime. That's just my creative eye. Plus, I am always willing to step out of my usual areas and try a new challenge when presented with the opportunity. |
