About me

Gender Female
Industry Education
Occupation English Teacher
Location Ho Chi Minh City (but usually Portland, OR), Vietnam
Introduction I am currently teaching English in Vietnam. I've always loved to travel, I'm passionate about literacy and education, kids are pretty cute, so its a good fit. I also love to eat, so Vietnam is taking great care of me in that regard!

I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, which was an amazing place to grow up. I love the close proximity to the mountains, the beach, countless hikes, great food, my family and most of my best friends! As hard as it was to leave, I'm so excited about the adventures that lie ahead.

This blog is mostly built to serve as a way to update family and friends, but also as a travel resource for people like me! I have stumbled across so many different blogs as I travel around, they have been such a huge help. I find blogs to be a much more reliable resource than Trip Advisor, so most of the time when I'm researching I'll type "things to do in____ blog" or "english teaching abroad blog" and I always get great info. So thank you to all of the bloggers out there that have helped to improve my travels, I hope to pass along that favor.
