| Introduction | Hello! My name is Maria and I'm thrilled that you are visiting my blog! I am passionate about my cause: Heart disease prevention. I've spent the past 20 years motivating, inspiring and educating thousands of people how they can change their lives to be healthier. As a working mom, I went back to school to earn a degree in Exercise Science, graduating in the top 5 of my class, cum laude. I then tested and became certified as an Exercise Specialist with the American College of Sports Medicine, the Gold Standard of Health and Fitness certifications. This knowledge empowered me to write a book, What Your Trainer Is Not Telling You and to produce 2 fitness dvds. I am currently a Group Exercise Coordinator for one of the largest group fitness programs in the country at American Family Fitness in Richmond, VA. My life is balanced with a family of 3 sons, a husband of 25 years and managing a household. |
