| Introduction | 'The HOOD' is the neighborhood where we live. We got our name in May of 2008 from the pastor of a local church. WHY did he come up with that you ask.....well, a friend in our neighborhood was tragicically hurt and subsequently died in a work accident. Every time the pastor would visit he would ask who people were. Almost everytime I would end my reply with, '.....another neighbor'. After many such conversations he looked at me and asked, "What are you guys, The HOOD?". It stuck. He began to call 'us' that, even during the service for our dear friend Larry. We have all embraced being part of "The Hood". We all cherish and adore each Hood member. And, we all know that we owe our bond to Larry....who we love and miss painfully! |
