About me

Introduction The goal of this blog is to create an online resource and catalog of therapy activities using common household or easily obtained items. None of the activities posted are meant to replace professional help and advice. However, many are unable to get and afford professional help, so by all means it is best to do something to help your children! Autism presents itself in many ways; some struggle with things that others don't. This is true for all children, I believe, with Autistic Spectrum Disorders or not. We choose to homeschool as well, for many different reasons, but primarily because we believe it presents the best learning (and socializing) environment for our son as an individual. Whatever method of education you should choose, active parental involvement is a must. Whether or not you have professional therapy, I believe that therapists almost universally encourage parents to take an active role in their childrens' therapy at home.
