About me

GenderFemale
IndustryAccounting
LocationSouth of Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States
IntroductionMyra is married with two sons, 11 and 1. She has been reading fantasy/sci fi for as long as she can remember and writing it since she created her own stories set on Pern in the fourth grade. She has worked as a manager, a videographer, a proofreader, and a teacher. She's decided enough with the financial excuses, the ebb and flow of creativity, and the drains of motherhood - it's time to freaking WRITE! She lives in one large, loud, chaotic household which includes her husband, children, brother, cats, dogs, and a snake - which gives them plenty of time to talk out concepts, but requires real creativity to carve out quiet writing time!
InterestsReading, writing, making jewelry, cooking (and then eating), gaming (current obsession: City of heroes), shoes, wine.
Favorite moviesSliding Doors, The Lord of the Rings (the first one; the one with SEAN BEAN), Pitch Black, In Her Shoes, Gladiator, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Favorite musicPink, Linda Ronstadt, Matchbox 20 (and Rob Thomas...our wedding dance was to his song!), Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Carly Simon, Velvet Revolver, the song "Goodnight Moon", Alice in Chains, Laura Branigan, Dixie Chicks
Favorite booksFar far far too many to list. I am a reading whore - I will read anything, at any time, and take inordinate amounts of pleasure in the doing!

Aren't papier mache cuts the worst?

No. Card stock cuts are the worst. Especially if you are being restrained. And the card stock is being lowered onto your eyelid. And then every so slowly pulled across so it cuts slow and deep. And then your tears - your salty tears.... Sorry. Recurring dream. Wonder what that says about me? Nevermind. Don't care to know....
