| Introduction | My name is Tria Turrou I am currently living in the mountains of North Carolina. I have just recently moved my studio to a larger location, and I love it. I have walls I can hang work on. I am a clay artist, I sculpt fascinating figures and forms. I am a mixed media artist incorporating wire and found objects into my work. Artists Statement: When I'm creating my work, I'm not really thinking about what the end result is going to be, I just make it, then I add whatever image I want to put on. When I'm building larger work, I have to think more about what the outcome, I have to build up the faces if building heads. I am working not only with the body but with the form. I am coil building most of my work, but slab building the rest. |
