| Introduction | A divorced mother of two, I have lived in the Southside Virginia area for 22 years. I have taught (agriculture, horticulture, special education, and computer literacy) at all levels in the public school system and for the Virginia community college system as well. I am president of my local education association, treasurer of an investment club, and a member of my local Democratic committee. I find myself becoming more active in politics all the time. This is mostly because I am tired of people in the public eye who are not honest with their constituents--on all levels of government (including, at times, the public school system). The Internet has leveled the playing field for all citizens by bringing information and research to the computer desktop. Use it to find out more about your candidates, government officials, and their positions on the issues that matter to you--and then use that information to make a difference. |
