Introduction | I'm a (very imperfect)Christian and an Introverted Moody Artist that loves animals, psychology, history, art, and music. How do I describe myself? Think of me like this: A very shy and neglected girl goes into a toy shop. She can pick out any toy that's there. There are so many to choose from, and all of them are beautiful. One of them, however, is not. It's a little stuffed cat. It's seam is ripped on the side, the stuffing is coming out, and one of the button eyes has been pulled off. It looks old, and dirty. The mother asks the little girl which toy she wants. She picks up this sad looking busted up stuffed animal cat. Her mom asks her, "Why not get a nicer one like everyone else? I don't want to spend the money on something that looks old and raggedy!" But the little girl insists. So the mother gives in. The little girl saw the beauty in that little messed up toy because she saw some of herself in it. She had compassion for it and knew that if she didn't give it love, no one else would. In essence, she was loving something that was unloveable, AND in doing that, she was loving herself. That little girl is me. |
