About me

Location West Virginia, United States
Introduction After taking until I was 25 to figure out the direction of my life, I eventually earned a couple of degrees in English, and then spent 20+ years teaching a variety of college writing and lit. courses, residing in OH, NC, and KY during that period. Also, I began my traveling life, seeing most of Western Europe and a big chunk of the Middle East, as well as a few countries closer to home. Just recently I quit my academic career to join my new love and partner in the expediting business. After selling nearly everything we owned, we left our house situated on the Ohio River in Ravenswood, WV (after a year and a half) to live in a converted 2010 Mercedes Benz Sprinter van. I think that up until now my life has been pretty much what I have made out of my circumstances, added with that a dash of destiny and an immeasurable amount of Grace. As far as my goals at age 51 go, they continue as they've always been: to dream, to explore, to discover, to laugh, to love, and to dare! For now, that translates into driving all around the USA and writing about everything I can, past and present, without embarrassing myself too much in the process!
Interests Traveling overseas and around the US; writing;reading, especially travel memoirs; engaging people in interesting conversation; and most of all--loving on my two young grandsons;
