| Introduction | A little about us - My name is Emily. I’ve never really had any formal training in photography. I just LOVE the art of photography. In college, I studied interior design, architecture, journalism, and art, but settled on a Mass Communications degree. Photography was just something I dabbled in after college. I never thought it would be something I would enjoy so much. Now, I can't get enough - and I learn more and more each day! My sister Erin is a genius behind the camera. While she won’t admit it, she definitely has the talent of a pro, despite her young age. She’s studied at Columbia University in Chicago, as well as the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She can take anything and anyone and make it breathtakingly beautiful. A little over a year ago we were asked to photograph a wedding. That’s where Hey Sisters! Photography was born. While it’s merely a hobby right now, we hope to one day make it something more. Life is crazy, it’s busy, it can pass us by if we don’t stop and simply enjoy the moments. With our cameras, we can capture those moments; the memories. After all, remembering what makes life so precious is what it’s all about. |
| Interests | I'm a writer at heart, but I love to read a good book as well! I love sports, especially softball and hockey, and watching a good flick is always appealing. I love to travel with my husband because we wind up in the most beautiful of places, together... |
| Favorite movies | My favorite movie of all time is Field of Dreams... I'm also a sucker for romance, so any type of romantic comedy has me hooked, like The Holiday...and of course, The Notebook... The Sandlot, The Karate Kid, Top Gun, Sweet Home Alabama, Garden State, Napoleon Dynamite, and Saved are some other favorites! |
| Favorite music | I love all types of music, jazz, rock, alternative sounds, hip-hop, whatever! Coldplay, Sanctus Real, Switchfoot, The Afters, Delirious?, Falling Up, Sigor Ros, Imogen Heap, Frou Frou, Plumb, Mute Math, Paramore, Rush of Fools, Tears for Fears, Erasure, Swtichfoot...I could go on forever... |
| Favorite books | These are just a select few; they are the books I can only think of right now, that are brilliant! The Notebook, The Chronicles of Narnia, State of Fear, Blue Like Jazz, anything by Ernest Hemingway, Emily Dickinson-I know she never wrote any full-length books, but she was a poet and she was a beautiful writer, and The Message... |
