| Introduction | I Care is a politically and religiously unaligned project attempting to shed light on the issue of abandoned children in Khartoum, Sudan. The project took shape in 2008 with the choice of focusing on the orphanage Dar Al Fityan, an orphanage located in the heart of Khartoum for disabled boys from the age 4 and up. In practice the aim of this project is to facilitate the everyday life of the physically and mentally disabled orphans through providing consumables. In the recent years we have had the privilege to spread the concept of this project through hosting several “I Care” events in Stockholm, where this project originated. The purpose of maintaining this blog is to document the progress and obstacles of this project, we will inform you what we have done in the past and start updating more frequentley beginning with a trip to Khartoum in December 2011.. |
