| Introduction | Dr. Iris Teresa Pagan has a compelling personal story and has taught science education for over 25 years in mostly a prestigious international school and in public ,private, charter and parochial schools as well. Not to waste her summers she organized and conducted summer programs whose goal was to enrich the academic background of minority students. She has loved science teaching and the students she has encountered. A graduate of Pace University and Columbia Teachers College, she wants to explore the question of why minorities leave an area of education in which they are so much needed. |
