Introduction	Malwabar village is in Deoria District of Uttar Pradesh. The Mushahars are made to live outside the village bounds about a kilometer and a half of away from the main village. They are landless, economically backward and socially outcaste, surviving on the verge of starvation. With no school, no electricity, no health centres, this community is living totally cut away from the modern world. Over 90% of the community remain illiterate and landless. The community remain thoroughly apolitical and therefore victim of social and political marginalization and often humiliated and exploited.
