| Introduction | I am an avid reader of many subjects, and I have a strong desire for good readings: not just those that are the objects of our literary activity but also those in which we engage as subjects. In other words, I want myself and others not simply to read great books but also to become great readers. Reading may involve texts, but it may also involve art, events, and people. Cultivating practical wisdom requires reading well the pluriformity of all that we can read. |
