| Introduction | I am truly blessed to be the wife of Dwayne and the mother of Sarah. My son Billy is already in heaven and is waiting there for us. We have a dog that we love, our Granddoggie, Tater. I find my joy in repurposing old things most folks would call junk. I think of it as posibilities. I have a great interest in homemaking of late. I am learning to can and preserve foods and to try to be as self sufficient as we can be. It is a constant learning process and i'm sure we will make mistakes along the way. I will share what I learn along the way. It gives me great comfort to gather my things around me, even if I never finish my projects I like to look at them! |
| Interests | I have many varied interests. I love to read, always have. It's a great way to go on a trip in my own livingroom!! I love crafting of almost all kinds. I'd like to learn how to do more and get better at what I do. Painting is a special love although frustrating because what's in my head always loooks better than the finished product. I like embroidery, both regular and cross stitch. I'm starting to really like scrapbooking and card making. |
| Favorite movies | Love too many movies to list them all but mostly old ones..classics and fun ones. I love old Hollywood. I find I also like Bollywood! |
| Favorite music | Music is my refuge and my delight. I sing all day and everywhere I go in my Tahoe!! I bet people laugh at me going down the road but I don't care. I'm a star in my car as long as the windows are up!! I like almost all kinds of music. Can't get into Opera or screaming metal but I can find something to like in almost everything else-oh yeah...this is for you Sarah-no rap crap!! I want to sing along, not talk! I love Christian and alternative right now. |
| Favorite books | First I have to list the Bible as that's my daily staple and where I go to feed my soul. Then it would be hard to list favorite books because my goodness there are so many and so many more to come. There are favorite authors, like Leon Uris, James Michener, Jan Karon, C.S.Lewis, Laura Ingalls Wilder, and Anne Rivers Siddons. There are so many more.
