| Introduction | The 12,000-sq-ft lot on West Juneway Terrace could easily have become any number of things besides the award-winning Howard Area Community Garden. Founded by Sister Cecilia Fandel in 1982, the land was purchased by NeighborSpace in 1991, which allowed local gardeners to preserve green space valuable to this densely populated area.
