| Introduction | I am permanently alcohol-free (ever since 1990); never-previously addicted; lifelong-tobacco-free; permanently marijuana-free (ever since 1984) and lifelong-free of any other illicit drug; tattoo-less & jewelry-less; permanently facially-cleanshaven; non-S&M and anti-S&M; recently (05-1-24 lab tests I had requested from my first-rate Univ. of Utah med services provider) certified as HIV-negative/STD-free; cleantalking; platonicly polite, conscientious, non-stalking; consistently law-abiding (no criminal-conviction record); consistently civil (ever since elementary school days) single adult Anglo gentleman alum of UMinn.-Minneapolis (MA, Journalism) and UT-Austin (B.A.). I've resided in: Nebraska (Lincoln-born); TX (Westlake Hills, Austin, El Campo, Big Spring, Taylor, Sweetwater, Cuero, Childress, Yoakum, Zapata, Pampa, Kermit, Snyder, Baytown, Denver City, Palestine); CA (Berkeley, second-grade year of elem. school); MO (St. Louis area); FLA (Fort Lauderdale, Naples); MN (New Ulm, Minneapolis); MA (Worcester, Boston, Cambridge, & Quincy); for several weeks each in Athens, GA (1973) and NYC area (1986); and Utah (ever since 12-31-21). |
| Interests | enjoyment of freshly brewed teas and of natural fruit juices; tennis, racquetball, squash, roller-skating; fragrant-plant gardening featuring Gardenias and Jasmine plants outdoors, and Rosemary plants indoors; someday again raising Bobwhite Quail as pets (as I did in my youth, Bobwhite Quail being favorite birds of mine to raise since they make beautiful sounds and are very pretty and are dynamically energetic birds that love to sandbathe with zeal); public-policy brainstorming and research; a quality-of-life-minded approach to modern religion. |
| Favorite movies | "My Life As a Dog" (a 1985 Swedish movie); "Mother Kusters Goes to Heaven" (a 1975 German movie); and "Portrait of a Young Man as an Artist" |
| Favorite music | I prefer Baroque Music, which has a calming and sublime effect on me, and features musical instruments (the recorder, the subtle harpsichord, the French horn) far more agreeable to my ear than the loud, vulgar, excessively intrusive musical instruments of today (the piano and the electric guitar are often headache-inducing and offensive to the ear); I also enjoy listening to idealistic singing performances by non-smoking, youthful singers who eschew profane language. |
| Favorite books | The non-fiction books "Sweden and The Price of Progress," "The Press" (by A.J. Liebling) and "The Autobiograhy of Benjamin Franklin," respectively, held me spellbound during my youth and college years, as I read each of those books with the greatest of fascination and enjoyment. |
