Introduction	Holland and I were married on March 31 2001. On Dec 30 2002 we were blessed with our son, Liem. Feb 21 2005 we had our little girl, Maya. Life was busy with two children, a home daycare, and Holland working 2 jobs while going to school to become a firefighter paramedic. Five months after the birth of Maya, when Liem was 2 years old, our lives turned completely upside-down. On Aug 13th 2005, per the recommendation of our pediatrician, we brought Liem to All Children's ER, for what we thought was a virus. After a blood test the Dr. came back. He said words like, "blasts in his blood", and "leukemia". I swore it was a nightmare. How could my baby have cancer? Liem had a bone marrow aspirate, and were told that Liem had Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. Chemotherapy treatment for ALL is over 3 years. So far Liem's done well,on 8/24/05, there were no leukemic cells in his bone marrow. He was in remission. But the most difficult days were ahead. Liem has had countless hospital stays over the past three years.
