| Introduction | Hello, I'm Matthew a self confessed aesthetic junky a condition for which as far as I know there is no known cure! Always have been always will be. My mind such as it is, is permanently brimming with design ideas and keenly observed references and cross references to anything that pertains to interior design, historical architecture and garden design. My early interest, training and experience in Theatre Design taught me that the principal element in any design venture is the creation of atmosphere. My later work in the commercial world of display design for Fortnum and Mason, Harvey Nichols and Harrods allowed me to indulge my most theatrical fantasies on an epic scale and secured many industry awards. I currently divide my time between painting professionally and as a design consultant in all elements of design and lifestyle. I also run a home as beautifully and as fragrantly as I can for myself, my partner and my three extremely high maintenance dogs. |
