| Introduction | I live on just under an acre, but I'm still in the city. Though I don't have farm animals, I have a Golden Retriever, parakeet and numerous bird friends at my feeders. As my husband doesn't have any interest in vegetable gardening or keeping chickens or goats, those will have to wait until I retire from my very busy full-time job as a nurse. I spend my long commute to work listening to audio books. I still consider myself a Wisconsin girl at hear, though I've lived in the Pacific NW since 1988. My family roots are rural, though I grew up in the "big city." One of my favorite childhood memories is visiting relatives in Mt. Calvary, WI and Fond du Lac. I got to spend time with several who owned farms-it was divine! I like nothing better than spending a day outside with the sun on my back and my hands in the dirt! |
