Allison Vicente
| Introduction | Allison Vicente is an emerging dance artist based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her training began at Byrne Creek Secondary School where she took part in the Dance Program and was a member of the Byrne Creek Dance Company. Since then, Allison has attended intensive programs by Helen Wakley, Company 605, Harbor Dance Centre, and Implutanz International Dance Festival in Vienna. Vicente is exploring her artistry in the Contemporary Dance program at Simon Fraser University where she has had the pleasure to perform works by acclaimed choreographers: Noam Gagnon, Rob Kitsos, Anya Saugstad, Company 605, and Yossi and Oded from Israel. In addition to being a performer, Allison is a choreographer. Her work has been performed in Meraki, a dance showcase at SFU’s School for Contemporary Arts. Currently, she is a member of Judith Garay’s Dance Repetoire and will be performing works by Garay, Bevin Poole, and Vanessa Goodman. |
