| Introduction | I absolutely love my job! I think I've become addicted in the past few years because I can't stop working most days! It's been 5 years since I began this as a business and it's grown so much, I get so excited when I realize that! It just gets better every time I think it won't. I have the best clients, I'm sure of it. It seems strange to even call them "clients" because I usually become friends with them. I think I love working with children more than anything. I was an in-home nanny for almost 10 years until I moved in 1995 to be closer to family in West Virginia/Kentucky. I think this is the perfect combination of everything, really. I get to play with children, hold brand new babies, and have adult conversations. I love to watch families interact, even if you think your child is "acting up", I love it. It's real and expected and I wouldn't know what to think if there wasn't just a touch of defiance from the typical 18 month old all the way up to the 86 year old. I love to capture people just being themselves. Getting a chance to do that in a way that allows me to express myself and provide what will be an heirloom to a family is truly as good as it gets. |
