| Introduction | In 2005, Jude and I retired after teaching for 33 years in Corunna, Michigan. Upon retirement our plan was to summer at our cottage in northern Ontario and winter in our RV south. In March of 2006 I got stupid and decided to apply for a teaching job in Alaska. Be careful of what you wish for. I taught math and science at an alternative high school in Sitka, Alaska, for a year. I then remembered why I retired the first time. From now on any job I take will last 30 days or less! We have since sold the cottage in Bruce Mines, ON, Canada, moved the boat and RV to Grand Isle, LA, and bought a new stick house in Wasilla, AK. Life is good. |
