| Introduction | God is the Great Healer and Protector. The Lord blesses us in our lives and we owe everything that we have to Him. In the summer of 2011 I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. I have been gaining weight steadily and tried different ways of losing the weight. I did Medifast and lost weight but never reached my goal and gained it all back. Doing a lot of research on diet and autoimmunity lead me to the Paleo diet and eventually the Whole 30. In 2015 I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and was put on an insulin pump and a CGM to treat my blood sugars. I ended up gaining close to 70 lbs being on insulin. I am now doing the Ketogenic diet to reduce the amount of insulin I need to take and to get this weight off once and for all.My hope is to gain control of my health for my family and for myself! |
