| Introduction | Began a life-long journey with my soul-mate, Kevin Lay, shortly after he became my best friend at the tender age of 13. By 17, we were forever inseparable. God placed us together, high school and college sweethearts, and we were married at the tender ages of 20 and 22. Both new college graduates from UNC and NC State, determined to take on the world and build a great family together. Our three kids are the joy of our lives. At 23, Andrew is a grad of Appalachian State and teaches 7th grade history at South Davie Middle School. His fiance, Brittany, studies physical therapy at ETSU. Our daughter, Alexandra, 20, is a junior at UNC-Charlotte and is QUITE the photographer. Her longtime boyfriend, Jeremy, is also a senior at UNCC in mechanical engineering, graduating this December. And our baby, Carson, 18, has just finished his career at North Davidson High School as valedictorian and is about to start his college career at NC State University as a Park Scholar, majoring in aerospace engineering. Taking time to savor the everyday moments is more important than ever, as this season in our lives is fleeting. Now in our 26th year of marriage, we celebrate EACH day of this blessed journey. |
