Introduction	Matt is a highly trained wanderer of the high alpine and deep valleys; having spent the last 16 years becoming a practicing risk management consultant, certified mountain guide and avalanche safety instructor. Matt 's immense curiosity to see what is around the bend, empowered him to tell his college advisor he wanted to go to a university west of the continental divide, and study abroad so he moved from New York City to Washington State and never looked back. Since then, Matt's passion for learning and desire to make connections across cultural and linguistic divides has taken him around the globe as a student, traveler and guide. Now his vocation is sharing his passion for global exploration of cultural and mountain landscapes and believes in building community through shared experiences of immersion in raw nature, which offers the one of best teaching environments.
